Beyond Gratitude

There is a prevailing and popular spiritual practice amongst students of metaphysics to practice gratitude each day. What is of goodness and grace is to be the focus, resulting in a karmic response of more harmony arriving the student's way.

This is a good practice, but is self-limiting, in that the goal is set, the method confirmed, and a decision in mind is already made as to the expected outcome. Nothing wrong with affirmation; however, there is another step which can bring more freedom to a mind whose focus is on what is of value in the world.

I suggest the step is this:

Seeing oneself as a child of God, as a part of His Creation, as an Idea in His Mind so Created and Manifested, and so Loved, He has given the child freedom of co-Creation.

This goes beyond Gratitude and affirmation, and actually extends thinking to seeing oneself through the eyes of God, resulting in feeling the Love of a Creator so profound there is nothing He would not give to His Child.

This is a powerful Thought, and not isolated by mere constructs of making a life better, yet, actually deeming to join God in Mind, and know of one's existence in light of His Creative Effect in the world.

Thinking is then extended from all the thoughts collected by past modalities, beliefs, and cultural norms, and stored in separation. This decision and encounter then juxtapositions the focus of the child to a wealth of Thought held by The Creator, who patiently waits for acceptance.

The Universe is an open book, so to speak. The Book of Life is available to all those who seek. And The Mind of God is available for anyone who deems to go beyond what goodness life holds, to an Understanding of seeing oneself throught the very eyes of the Creator Himself.

This is completely possible due to the fact God is so joined with His Creations they cannot be separated at all. It's simply a matter of choice and decision, and what kind of choice one makes in regards to being in this world, yet not of it at all.

The first step in this process is a desire to see the world as God's Creation, and most certainly holding gratitude for all that one has been blessed, yet, then making a choice to know of oneself through the Creator, using the shift-of-perception in Mindful Thinking available to those who are prepared.

The preparedness begins with a single decision for forgiveness, that is, a decision the world isn't what one thought at all, and a willingness to truly know what Love's presentation as Life is all about.

As one becomes more determined in rising above even what is of value, egotistical thoughts are exchanged for Mindful Thinking, and God's World is seen in the brilliance of His Love. Then as the closeness continues, one suddenly sees himself in Light of God's Vision, as neither apart from, nor God Himself, yet within a dynamic of closeness portraying each being is eternally part of something grandeur than the separated concept of self.

It's remarkable the freedom we have. We can imprison ourselves in the world, or become completely aware of our relationship to God, and function from a place whereby the outcome is absolute Grace, affording us the potential to actually do Acts beyond the limited definitions we have given ourselves.

So, offering gratitude to our world is but a step in right-minded direction towards knowing oneself through the eyes of God HimSelf. And the outcome of this is a dynamic of living unparalleled, whereby good sense and good reason is even replaced with knowledge itself.

Thinking that life is about a body, walking upon a planet, awareness is about simply knowing more about this place and its inhabitants, and metaphysics has to do with apologetic Christianity, keeps the mind imprisoned.

But first the Thought must be entertained, and held in mind for a while, that there actually is more to existence than mere acceptance we are simply learning and dying. This kind of thinking no longer serves us well. The spiritual evolution on the planet is calling for something more. The actual life portals higher thinking brings is a topic in and of itself. But first a decision needs to be made to know one's Creator, instead of cherishing the Creations through gratitude, thinking somehow doing so will bring about the Atonement so many are searching for.
