Forgotten by God

This is a thought which crosses the mind of many when they feel they have been abandoned by the Divine.

It isn't a simple thought of pity, or self disregard, it is a thought, which demonstrates a willingness to know God.

The more we question where God is in the opportunities of our daily existence, the more we are aware of the choice to know of Him throughout our experience.

I know a man who shook his fist at God, swore at God, and stood outside looking at the Heavens, and then never felt so close to God.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience, and every once in a while need to vividly recall, through very strong emotion at times, what this connection can bring us.

In allowing our illusions to take over reality, we often are too fearful to confront the truth, or seek forgiveness, and so spend lifetimes challenging ourself to suffering for God. "Suffering for God" is the key phrase here. We determine through pain, and turmoil, the lessons will be learned, and the pathway towards enlightenment will be cleared ever further.

Not so.

What the truth of a lifetime of experience is is the constant reminder to ourselves that God is available within, and in our world. And sometimes that takes a fist to the Heavens, or angry retort, or demands that the divine reveal itself. These communications aren't about asking God to do anything, they are expressions of our own deep seated commitment.

A strong reckoning with God is only about our own resolution, our own decision, our willingness to feel the Power and Embrace of an Authority grandeur than ourselves.

So, Forgotten by God?

These are the times, the thoughts, the feelings of being abandoned, which are our opportunity to confront straightforwardly in what direction we choose to take our hearts, minds, and ultimately, our lives.
