The reason for the hurricane

Here are a few actual commentaries offered by friends and co-workers as to the "why" of the hurricane:

1) It is God's way for population control

2) It is a wake-up call for those who need to review their lives, and change their way of thinking and living

3) It is another signal, another disaster, as to the coming end of the world

4) It's wind and water brought together by natural forces, and nothing we can do really, except to cope with it all

It's all interesting. And I find these are the people who actually offer more true empathy, and are sending money and assistance, than the "spiritual" individuals who state it isn't real, and so find chanting "It isn't real, it isn't real," to be the effective form of extending love and healing on the planet.

I find the hurricane was made by mass consciousness choice on a level of certain Reality, whereby minds and souls meet to determine what causative effect is needed to accelerate the awakening on the planet. It is very *real,* yet our perception, as onlookers, to the causes and effects are illusional. Our past belief systems, and categorized reasons for experience, cloud our thinking to the matter of why Earth changes are occurring. Metaphysics says we together make choices feeling what we do is of sound reason. Jesus says we can choose to make warm rains and rainbows, instead.

The natural experience is real, the rain, the winds, the tides, the people. What is illusionary is our thought systems, based upon erroneous information, and what the Course suggests is we open our minds to true causative effects, and begin to understand how dynamic change is actually done in the world.

Spiritual platitudes just don't reach the level of intensive thinking Jesus suggests we open our minds and hearts toward. Jesus says thought is powerful, manifests itself, and we should take more consideration as to what we are thinking and why.

We have a choice to create and/or miscreate. Both outcomes are real. Although experience is temporary, the energy which is used to create and/or make continues to affect our minds, matter, and therefore, nature.

I really don't have a strong hold on what mankind is thinking about at any given moment. For this I am sure: There are more pleasant ways to learn and grow together than to continue to make disasters, and unpleasantness, thinking we must learn through pain and anguish.

There are many falsities on the planet: One is "no pain, no gain." And another is a misguided appreciation for trials and tribulations. Neither are needed for learning, mind training, purification, or spiritual progression. As humanity continues in agreement as to these erroneous conclusions, they will continue to bring the same upon themselves.

It's time humanity decided there are genuinely more efficient ways in which to experience together, which in Reality we are most certainly telling; however, this comprehension is yet to fully be realized by man.
